Sundays Story

Book one: Picking up Blaze Tyler.

As we came down Parliament Drive I could see the Tyler house off to the left. I carefully pulled the chariot up the long circular driveway where the large house came into complete view. The house was a large two story home with a white front porch and a ten foot walkway to the front door. As I pulled the hoses to a stop right in front of the walkway Nancy jumped off the back and came up along side of the chariot to open the door for Warrior to exit. Her dress was that of an 18th century Foot woman. All white frill’s and tight blue vest and white stockings complete with black highly polished shoes. Of course she looked a lot better in the dress then I did. As Nancy opened the door to the chariot Warrior stepped out, Kathleen jumped down from the back and came along side of the chariot. Kathleen was dress just like myself and Nancy, if I didn’t know who was who when it came to the two of them you would not know the different, In Kathleen shads was a plastic container holding a purple orchard corsage which he hand over to Warrior. He looked at the twins taken the corsage from Kathleen and nodding his head in thanks. He then took a deep breath and started to take the long walk up the path to the front door. He stopped a good foot away from the door too another deep breath and then rang the door bell. As the door bell rang in the large house he looked down at the rare flower corsage in his hand and slipped it under his cloak and behind his back.

A butler dressed in a black jacket and pants, with a white shirt and gloves answered the door a few seconds later “Yes…” He looked at Warrior standing there “Can I help you?” He said in a low drawn out voice that only and aged butler could have.

Warrior calmly said ‘Yes I’m here to pick up Miss Blaze Tyler for the evening ball.” He paused just for a second and then added “My name is Warrior.”

The butler looked him up and down and then said in that snooty voice that only a butler can use “Oh yes.” The butler paused “We have been expecting you, please come in.” And he opened the door wider to allow Warrior to pass and enter the house beyond him.

“Thank you.” And Warrior stepped passed the butler into the house.

Once in side the house the butler started to close the door behind him. With a loud clicking sound, that sounded like jail bars closing, the front door closed behind Warrior “Please wait here.” The butler turned and started to walk away “I shall go and tell Miss Tyler that you are here Sir.” He walked pass Warrior and headed up the large arcing staircase in front of him to the upper floor of the house.

Warrior stood in the front hall off the house with the main staircase in front of him that the butler had gone up. A crystal chandelier hung over the white marble floor and the walls had painting hung on them with a few sculptures inside an alcove opposite each panting. Most of them look to be old and expensive, except the one hanging behind him of the Tyler family. A few minutes later the butler came back down the staircase and said “Sir” Warrior spun around turn away from the painting of the family he was looking at “Miss Blaze Tyler and he gestured up the staircase.
Warrior looked at the butler “Thank you.” He then followed his arm up the staircase to see Blaze standing at the top of the landing. She was dressed in a white ball gown made of silk and satin, that came of the shoulders and had lace running across the top. A Diamond necklace hung around her neck with matching earrings. Her red hair flowed back behind her with a pearl hair clip to keep it in place. As the butler went off into another room Warriors jaw fell open and Blaze started to walk down the staircase towards him, but to warrior it didn’t seem like she was walking down the staircase as if she was slowly floating towards him. Warrior could do nothing more then just stand there and watch as she came closer and closer to him

When Blaze finally reached the bottom of the staircase she stopped in front of him and looked up into the light back void that was still his face. “Good evening sir.” She said in a royal tone of voice.

Warrior had to quickly get himself together and straighten himself up to his full height and bowed “Good evening ME-Lady.” He paused to clear his head “You look beautiful this evening “He paused again hoping that he was getting right since he had not done this in over three hundred years “It will be my great pleasure to escort you to the ball this evening, My name is Warrior.” He was trying to keep his composure, but was slowing starting to lose it since he had not talked proper in many years “If I may be so bold as to ask how did you know to dress in such a perfect dress.” In deed her gown was a perfect match to his own outfit this evening.

Blushing a little red from Warriors comments Blaze said in her sweet crisp voice as proper has he was “Thank very much kind Sir.” She straightened the gown and quickly regained he composure “Oh let’s just say a little bird told me that this would be appropriate for this evening.” To keep the facts of how and who she had found out a mystery to him, one that he would solve much later in life.

As warrior stood there still amazed at the beauty that Blaze presented to him, it took him a few second to remember the corsage he was holding behind his back “-Ah- this is for you.’ And he pulled out from behind his back and under his cloak to reveal the plastic container containing the rare purple orchard corsage. He carefully opened the container and lifted the corsage out to show it to her and then in as little words as possible he asked if he might pin it on her “May I ME-Lady.” He gestured to her left breast.

With a gentle smile on her face Blaze said “If you would kind Sir.” And she moved her left shoulder toward him.

Warrior took a few steps towards her and with a somewhat shaky hand carefully pinned the corsage over her left breast. Once he had the corsage pinned on her stepped back to see that the rare follower just enhanced Blazes gown and her even more. Warrior took another well hidden deep breath and said “Shall we go ME-LADY.” and he raised his arm.

In A nervous voice for the first time Blaze said “Yes kind sir, let us be on our way.” She took hold of warriors arm and started to walk towards the front door. As they reached the door Warrior reached forward and slowly opened it for he and guided her out on to the front porch where Blaze stood there waiting for him. Warrior Stepped out and closed the door behind him and stepped next to Blaze where he raised his arm for her to grab hold of once again. As Warrior was closing the door behind them she looked down the long walk way and say the horse drawn Chariot. “You got a horse drawn chariot” she said as she took Warriors arm again “How did you manage that?”

“I have had this one since my birth, along with several other wonders things.” He said paused to take another look at the beauty that was Blaze Tyler next to him “Shall we go ME-LADY.” And the two of them started to walk down the path towards the chariot that was awaiting them.

You'll never see the first draft because is ong been destoried, but it was no more then a half a page an outline of things to come much like it is now, but I enjoyed writing it out.
